Our Story from father to son

The story of SC ASPHALTE began in 1988 in England, when Stuart took over the family business specialising in outdoor surfacing and landscaping. Over the following ten years, he developed his expertise and built a strong reputation based on quality workmanship, reliability, and a genuine passion for the trade.

In 1998, wanting to provide a better quality of life for his family, Stuart moved to south-west France, a region he already knew well through regular visits to Pomarez, where his parents owned a holiday home. That same year, he founded SCTP ASPHALTE in Mouscardès, which later became SC ASPHALTE (Stuart Cruickshank Asphalte).

In 2009, his son Laurence joined the family business. Today, he leads the company alongside his sister, Lillie, continuing a family tradition of craftsmanship that has been passed down for more than 30 years.

Although the company has grown over the years, it has remained true to its roots. We are still a family-run business, committed to building lasting relationships with our customers and delivering every project with care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Now based in Tilh, we work within an 80 km radius, helping homeowners and businesses bring their outdoor projects to life. Our goal has always been the same: to create durable, high-quality outdoor spaces that our customers can enjoy for many years to come.
